FAQ's

See below for some of our frequently asked questions. If you do not find the answer you were hoping for, please feel free to contact us and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Do I need to buy any special equipment for my online lessons?

No - you'll just need a laptop or tablet with a good internet connection and a built-in camera. If you live far away and you want to do online lessons with us on a more long-term basis, it's a good idea to invest in a few pieces of equipment - we're more than happy to send you a list of what would be most useful.

Will my teacher see me during the online lessons?

Yes. This is why it's really important that you're using a laptop or tablet with a camera, so your teacher can see what you're doing. The lessons are taught live and one-to-one, so they're entirely personalised to you. You'll be able to interact with your teacher in real time, ask questions and receive feedback and corrections.

I live overseas - what about the time difference?

Our teaching hours are 2pm-10pm from Monday to Friday and 10am-6pm on weekends, UK time. Depending on where you live, we'll work out the best time for your online lesson.

Once I have had my online taster lesson, how do I book a course?

After your taster lesson, we'll get in touch with you to invite you to enrol on one of our online music courses. If you sign up on the day of your taster, you'll receive a free lesson (special offer applies to guitar, bass, piano, singing, sax and trumpet lessons only).

What if I have never played music before?

No problem at all - we're here to help you learn. We'll tailor your lessons to your current level, and all of our workshops are beginner-friendly. You’ll see your confidence and skills building week by week.

How long are the lessons?

The lessons are 50 minutes for adults and 25 minutes for children under 12.

What if I need to cancel my lesson?

Don't worry - just give us 48 hours notice and we'll reschedule the lesson for you.

Will I always have the same teacher?

Yes, most of the time. If your regular teacher is not available, you'll have your lesson with a different teacher. Getting varied tuition and learning different types of music will help you to become a well-rounded player. Our teachers are proficient in all styles, including jazz, classical, rock and pop.
